DSM & Associates is a Perth-based insurance advisory firm established in 1998 by David Meek when he recognised the value for clients in discussing insurance separate from wealth accumulation. The business was built on the premise of providing clients with straightforward advice that was relevant to their evolving needs, supporting clients to make informed decisions.
Since joining DSM & Associates in 2024, Blair Jamieson has aimed to maintain and build upon the reputation earned as dedicated insurance professionals, and ensure the business keeps pace with advancing technology and the opportunities these present to improve and safeguard the client experience.

Blair has worked in the financial services industry since 2007, with some of Australia’s largest life insurers and boutique advice businesses. He is a passionate advocate for the insurance industry and a self-proclaimed “insurance nerd”.
Outside of work, Blair is an active husband and father and, when not entertaining long lost dreams of being a rock star, sneaks in some camping and computer gaming.

Senior Paraplanner
Cara is an experienced Paraplanner with over 20 years in the industry. She works closely with the advice team to prepare and implement insurance recommendations, ensuring the advice is practical and aligned with each client’s needs and objectives.
Outside of her professional role, Cara enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, and expressing her creativity through art and graphic design.

Founder of DSM & Associates, David has over 45 years of experience as an insurance adviser. During his career he has achieved excellent claim outcomes for numerous clients and continues to share his knowledge and experience.
